NEW CASTLE, Del. – McKendree Women's bowling finished 18th out of 55 teams at the Northeast Classic with a total pinfall of 12,729 and a 9-4 record throughout the tournament.  

Day one of the tournament started out strong for McKendree, winning four of their first five matches. The got wins over Delaware State, Mount St. Mary's, Molloy University, and University of Maryland Eastern Shore. They lost their first match to North Carolina A&T State University.  

Individually, the tournament was highlighted by Shanna Kimball who placed 66th, averaging 187.8 through all five traditional games. With four accredited games, Vicki Andrews, Emma Zinn and Cierra Brown averaged 188.5, 174.2 and 169.75, respectively.  

Alexa Valadez and Addysen Case had two accredited games during their time on the lanes. They averaged 177 and 161 respectively in their two games. Jaycie Smith and Grace Ogle rounded out the individual scoring for the Bearcats, averaging 172 and 168 respectively.  

During Sunday bracket play, McKendree was seeded 17th and played their first match against 18th seeded University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). After falling to UAB they won their second match against Dominican University by winning 4-2. This matched them back up with UAB in the last match of the tournament where the Bearcats fell 4-3. 

NEXT UP   

McKendree will be taking a short trip over to Maryville for the Saints Invite. It will take place Jan. 31st through Feb. 2nd at Shrewsbury lanes.
