ALLENDALE, Mich. - No.2 McKendree University women's wrestling (16-1, 5-0 GLVC) captured the inaugural Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Wreslting Title on Saturday after a 40-4 drubbing of No.4 Grand Valley State and 49-0 clean-up over Davenport. The Bearcats captured the top-five ranked win early in the day behind 10 match victories over the Lakers with GVSU only scoring in four matches. McKendree then shut out another opponent in Davenport, 49-0, to lock up the conference's first women's wrestling title after the GLVC began sponsoring the sport in the 2025-26 season. The Bearcats get back on the mats February 8 for the first-ever For Her Duals hosted at Xtreme Arena in Coralville, Iowa, along with three top-level NCAA programs and four top-level NAIA programs.
