MANY, La.- McKendree angler Ethan Fields had an incredible win at the Elite Qualifier in Toledo Bend this past weekend!

After crushing it on days one and two he found the bite to be a little tougher on the final day. His three-day winning weight of 73-3 beat out second place by 2 pounds 7 ounces.
He started off with five for 28-2 on day one and followed that up with five more for 27-4 on day two. He then went on to hit another limit on day three of 17-13 to bring home the win and earn a trip to the Bassmaster Classic.

Fields is our third angler in the history of the program to qualify for the Bassmaster Classic. The Classic is the most prestigious professional bass tournament on earth.
Last year Trey Schroeder qualified by winning a Bassmaster Open on the Tennessee Tombigbee waterway.
Trevor McKinney qualified for the 2020 Classic by winning the College Bracket Round which earned him the title of the number one angler in all college fishing. He ended up competing against his own teammate, Blake Jackson, for the title.
