LEBANON, Ill. — The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) released its 11th issue of the 2025-26 Coaches Poll, with the McKendree men's basketball team remaining at the No.23 spot.
The team was previously No.23 in last week's poll for their first-ever appearance in their NCAA Division II era (since 2012-13). They knocked off then-sole GLVC leader University of Illinois Springfield in their short week on Saturday, 77-69, to now present a three-way tie for first place in the conference standings (pending the UIS-Missouri S&T result Tuesday evening).
The Bearcats are riding a seven-game winning streak, which is their longest since the tail end of the 2022-23 season (eight straight). McKendree currently is posting an 18-4 overall record with an 11-3 mark in GLVC play.
The team will hit the road this week as they will trek North to seek revenge on the University of Indianapolis on Thursday, February 12th at 6:30 PM CT, and will take on Lewis University in Romeoville on Saturday, February 14th at 3:00 PM CT.
NABC COACHES POLL CRITERIA
The weekly coaches' poll is being conducted by 16 members of the NABC, two representing each of the eight NCAA Division II regions.
