LAKE MURRAY, S.C. – The Bearcat Anglers wrapped up their time in the Major League Fishing (MLF) this weekend, from February 12th through the 14th, held in Lake Murray in South Carolina in the 151 boat event.
Graduate Evan Sutton (Highland, Ill.) and Colton Hill caught another great five-bass limit for 18-6, giving them a two-day total of 35-9. They jumped up the leader board from 72nd to 51st.
Sophomores Liam Bonnett (Pittsfield, Ill.) and Matthew Qualich (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) also had a great event, weighing in five for 18-3 and giving them a two-day total of 33-1 to jump up the leader board thirty-one places to 63rd.
Graduates Harmon Marien (Eagle River, Wis.) and Maxwell Trotter (Decatur, Ill.) caught five for 15-1 and had a two-day total of 32-13 for 65th.
Sophomores Chase Logue (Oreana, Ill.) and Mason Darling (Highland, Ill.) caught five for 16-9 moving twenty spots up the leaderboard to 71st.
Juniors Ryan Foster (Columbia, Ill.) and Angelo Malek (Lake St. Louis, Mo.) weighed in five for 15-1, giving them a two-day total of 30 pounds and jumping sixteen spots up the leaderboard at 80th.
Graduate Jack Stephens (St. Louis, Mo.) and Jaxson Freeman (Loda, Ill.) weighed in 6-14 for a two-day total of 23-3 and 103rd place.
This was the very last college tournament for both Harmon Marien and Colton Hill.
"Like all that have gone before them, these two will be greatly missed, said Head Coach Jon Rinderer. "The McKendree bass fishing team is a very special group of anglers who travel, fish, and laugh together all over the country. The many memories and stories shared together over the years will last a lifetime!"

The Bearcat Anglers will be back at the waters from February 25th through 26th to take part in the Bassmaster event held at the Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Texas.
