ABOUT THE BEARCATS' LAST WEEK
W @ UIndy, 57-49 | February 12th, 2026
McKendree turned in one of its most complete stretches of the season in Indianapolis, defeating UIndy 57-49 behind a dominant third quarter. The Bearcats shot 50% in the frame and built a 12-point cushion entering the fourth, fueled by strong finishes inside from
Baylie Parks and
Morgan Feil, along with timely three-point shooting from
Emma Slings and
Kylie Moeller.
Even after shooting just 12.5% in the final quarter, McKendree closed the game at the free-throw line and relied on its defensive pressure to seal the eight-point road win. Feil led with 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting, while
Kyra Taylor added 14 points and went 10-of-14 from the stripe.
W @ Lewis, 61-54 | February 14th, 2026
Saturday's win at Lewis showcased McKendree's ability to belong in the top quadrant of the GLVC. The Bearcats controlled the paint early and limited the Flyers to just 10 third-quarter points, carrying a 45-39 lead into the fourth.
Baylie Parks delivered her 20th career double-double with 21 points and 16 rebounds, controlling the glass on both ends.
Kyra Taylor chipped in 13 points, going 5-of-6 at the free throw line, while
Chloe White came up with a pivotal fourth quarter block that led to a transition score. McKendree led for more than 29 minutes in the game and was able to successfully close out their 7th GLVC road win of the season.
SCOUTING THE UPPER IOWA PEACOCKS
Upper Iowa (13-12, 9-8 GLVC) enters Thursday looking to rebound after a second-half struggle against Maryville last weekend. The Peacocks are one of the league's most perimeter-oriented teams, averaging over 8 made three-pointers per game and shooting 34.6% from deep.
Ellie Foster leads the offense at 13.8 points per game and is a consistent threat from beyond the arc. Ava Privet (12.5 ppg) and Kendyl Lodermeier (11.3 ppg, 5.5 rpg) give Upper Iowa balanced scoring, with Lodermeier providing interior presence and rebounding strength.
The Peacocks defend the three well (27.3%), but they've been out-rebounded this season (- 3.7 margin). For McKendree, controlling the glass and limiting transition threes will be key to setting the tempo at home.
SCOUTING THE QUINCY HAWKS
Quincy (13-10, 10-6 GLVC) brings one of the league's more balanced offensive profiles into Saturday's matchup. The Hawks shoot 44.7% from the field and average 14.3 assists per game, moving the ball effectively.
Katey Flynn leads the way at 12.3 points per game. Hayven Harden (10.7 ppg) provides interior efficiency, while Hampton Williams and Karly Peters provide a multi-faceted game.
Quincy's strength is their offensive flow, but the Hawks average 18 turnovers per game. McKendree's pressure defense (4th in the GLVC in steals) could prove decisive if the Bearcats can disrupt Quincy's rhythm and turn defense into transition scoring.
