LEBANON, Ill – McKendree's men's volleyball team is prepared to return home to the Melvin Price Convocation Center to take on the Royals of Queens University of Charlotte for a pair of matches on Friday, Feb. 27, at 6 PM and Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2 PM.
The Bearcats are coming off a tough three-game road stretch, where McKendree came up short against Ball State in four sets, Purdue Fort Wayne in five sets, and Lindenwood in five sets. This extended the Bearcats' losing streak to four games. Returning home, McKendree's offense is led by redshirt senior outside hitter
Sam Hoskin with 165 kills and an average hitting percentage of .364. Hoskin is followed by senior opposite

Nate Flayter sets up the Bearcats' offense, sitting at 493 assists. Defensively, the back court is anchored by Flayter with 102 digs, followed by graduate libero

Queens is entering the weekend coming off two losses to Lewis, getting swept in the first match and coming up short in five sets in the second match. The Royals' offense is led by sophomore outside hitter Casey Maas with 128 kills, sporting an average .238 hitting percentage. Redshirt junior setter Charlie Podgorny conducts the offensive success with 279 assists, followed by sophomore setter/opposite Caleb Williams with 117. Defensively, Queens' back court is held down by junior outside hitter Chance Shampine with 69 digs, followed by freshman defensive specialist/libero Britton Skousen with 57. Senior middle blocker Nathan Vaupel seals the net with 38 blocks, followed by senior middle blocker Reed Shuey with 30.
