SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – McKendree's men's outdoor track and field team took a trip across the river to compete in the SLU Billiken Invitational.
In the 100m, freshman
Cincere Ruffin finished first with a time of 10.73.
Two Bearcats finished in the top five of the 800m. Junior
Keveroy Venson placed second with a time of 1:52.07, followed by sophomore
Diego Paz Denis placing fourth and with a time of 1:52.92.
McKendree's squad A, composed of Ruffin, senior
George Safo, freshman
Amari Officer, and freshman
Kannon Creamer, finished second in the 4x100 relay with a time of 42.14.
In the 4x400, McKendree's squad A, composed of Officer, Venson, Denis, and sophomore
Jevor Murray, finished third with a time of 3:20.68.
Freshman
Isaiah Ford finished first in high jump with a mark of 1.97m.
In shot put, freshman
Cleon Sewell finished second with a mark of 16.16m. Senior
Matthew Wilson earned a sixth place finish with a mark of 14.07m.
Sewell finished third in discus with a mark of 46.66m.
Wilson finished tenth in hammer with a mark of 42.49m.
UP NEXT: The Bearcats will be competing in the Pacesetter Sports Invitational, hosted by Indiana State, this weekend, Apr. 3-4.
