BOLIVAR, Mo. – McKendree's men's track and field team rounded out the 2026 outdoor season at the GLVC Championship.
Cleon Sewell earned a top three podium finish in shot put, earning an All-Conference honor. The Bearcats earned another eight top ten finished in various events.
In the 200m,
Cincere Ruffin grabbed sixth place with a time of 21.50.
Two Bearcats placed in the top ten of the 800m.
Diego Paz Denis finished fourth in the 800m with a time of 1:50.89, followed by
Keveroy Venson placing eighth with a time of 2:02.61.
Caleb Klein finished tenth in the steeplechase with a time of 9:36.19.
In the 4x100 relay,
George Safo,
Amari Officer,
Kannon Creamer, and Ruffin grabbed seventh with a time of 41.86.
McKendree placed fifth in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:15.12. This squad was composed of
Adriano Brown,
Jevor Murray,
Roemello Byndloss, and Paz Denis.
Isaiah Ford finished fifth in the high jump with a mark of 2.00m.
Sewell grabbed third, earning a bronze medal, in shot put with a mark of 16.16m. Sewell was also named as one of 13 men's track and field athletes to earn the GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship honors. Being a top-three finisher in the shot put final event, Sewell also earned an All-Conference honor.
In the javelin,
Ruel Martin placed seventh with a mark of 52.31m.
