Lebanon, IL - The 23rd-ranked McKendree University Softball team brought in another weekly honor from the Great Lakes Valley Conference on Monday afternoon, as the league announced that senior shortstop
Lauren Harris won the Player of the Week for March 2nd-8th, 2026. Harris was a key piece to how the Bearcats were able to put up 30 runs in their first four games at The Spring Games in Bartow, Florida.
Harris put up an impressive 9 hits in 13 at-bats, with three of her four games being of the multi-hit variety.
The week was highlighted by a 3-hit, 4-RBI game against Edinboro on Sunday, March 8th.
Harris added seven RBI, scored seven times, swiped two bases, and had a .692 batting average with a 1.077 slugging percentage.
The honor is the seventh of her career, and second of the season, as she was awarded the same honor back in early February.
The Bearcats play three more games in Florida between Tuesday, March 10th and Wednesday, March 11th, before starting up GLVC play on Saturday at Truman State.
