Lebanon, IL - The McKendree Football community continues to mourn the March 17th passing of legendary coach Carl Poelker. On Saturday, April 25th, Coach Poelker's Celebration of Life will occur. 

The gathering starts at 1:00 PM when the lower parking lot, which many may remember as the old practice field, opens. 

Then, at 3:00 PM, those gathered will move to the grass area between Leemon Field and Bearcat Hall. 

It's here, at 3:30 PM, when the ceremony formally begins. Plans include Mark Sikma speaking, a song from Travis Ford, and plenty more forms of remembrance of a Hall of Fame Bearcat. 

The afternoon concludes with everyone encouraged to stick around for Bearcat Football's 2026 Spring Game at 4:00 PM. 

Everyone is encouraged to bring their own chair, food, etc., as those items will not be provided.
