LEBANON, Ill. – McKendree's men's volleyball team is set to face #16 Ohio State on Thursday, Apr. 9, at 7 PM, followed by Northern Kentucky on Saturday, Apr. 11, at 2 PM to round out regular-season MIVA play.
The Bearcats are coming off a split weekend of play where McKendree dropped 0-3 to Loyola Chicago and followed with a 3-1 win over Lewis, getting the Bearcats back in the win column as they return to their home court to end regular season play. McKendree's offense is distributed by junior setter

Ohio State is coming off a 3-0 sweep over Northern Kentucky. The Buckeyes' offense is orchestrated through sophomore setter Daniel Henwood Rodriguez with 808 assists on the season. Rodriguez is leading the Ohio State offense to an average hitting percentage of .318. The Buckeyes' hot hand belongs to senior opposite Shane Wetzel with 243 kills. Sophomore libero Drew Hudson is the anchor of the back court with 163 digs. At the net, junior middle blocker Eliel Salva-Torres dominates with 87 total blocks (6 BS, 71 BA).
Northern Kentucky is nursing two back-to-back 0-3 losses, first against Ball State, followed by Ohio State. The Norse's offense is dished out through freshman setter Nick Whitely with 369 assists on the season. Whitely is leading Northern Kentucky's offense to an average .214 hitting percentage. The hot hand for the Norse belongs to junior outside hitter Griffin Wheatley with 146 kills, followed by redshirt sophomore setter/opposite Will McElveen with 138 kills. McElveen leads the back court with 96 digs, followed by freshman outside hitter/setter/libero/opposite Juanmarco Diaz with 82 digs. At the net, freshman middle blocker Ryan Peterson leads with 43 total blocks (7 BS, 36 BA), followed by sophomore middle blocker Adam Blair with 36 total blocks (4 BS, 32 BA).
The Bearcats' match on Thursday against Ohio State at 7 PM will be a White Out theme, and Saturday's match against Northern Kentucky at 2 PM will be Senior/Alumni Day.
