Lebanon, IL - Postseason honors continue to come in, as the 14th-ranked McKendree University Softball team finds itself amid a historic 2026 campaign. The latest round saw Bearcat shortstop Lauren Harris announced as a three-peat winner of the D2CCA's Player of the Year honor.
Harris has continued to impress during her senior season, already having been named 3-time GLVC Player of the Year, making the NFCA National Player of the Year Watch List, and being named 2-time GLVC Player of the Week in 2026.
This year, Harris is hitting .458 with 93 hits, 18 home runs, 66 RBI, an .828 slugging percentage, 21 walks, 2 hit by pitches, a .513 on base percentage, and 12 stolen bases.
In the field, she has totaled 78 put-outs, 89 assists, adding up to a career-best .977 fielding percentage.
Harris and the Bearcats make their first-ever Super-Regional appearance on Thursday at 12:00 PM at the 2nd-ranked UIndy Greyhounds.
