Henryville, IN - The McKendree University Women's Golf team got its fall season started on Tuesday and Wednesday over at Champions Pointe Golf Club for the UIndy Fall Invitational. Among a 13-team field, six of which were GLVC schools, the Bearcats finished 4th (2nd amongst the GLVC participants), and placed their entire scoring lineup inside of the Individual Top 25, led by a +9/216 from Alba Camps Pascual, who is just part of a lineup chalked full of returners for coach Mikal Guffey. 

Camps Pascual started with a +7/79 on Tuesday, but rebounded with identical +1/73's in her second round Tuesday and her final round on Wednesday. She had at least two birdies in each round, led by a four-birdie second round. Her most successful run came on the par-four 18th, where she would birdie it in each of her three rounds. 

Waritsara Rungrojanaluk started off with what would be her best round of the event, nearly breaking 70 with a -1/71. That round included four birdies and a -2/10 through her first three holes. Rungrojanaluk finished with identical +5/77's in each of her final two rounds, capping her invite with a birdie on the par-4 18th, seeming to be a personal favorite of a lot of the Bearcats. 

Chiara Bortolotti del Reino started with a +4/76, a round strengthened by back-to-back birdies on the 11th and 12th, also getting birdie on the 17th. Bortolotti del Reino then birdied the 4th and 11th in her second round, playing E/36 on the back nine. The back nine was working particularly well for the event, capping her week with a +3/39 on the back nine in the final round, getting another birdie, her sixth of the event, on, once again, the par-4 18th. 

Rachawadee Srimaung is a rare newcomer amid numerous returners, and she would pick up her first individual Top 25 right out of the gate in the fall campaign. She would finish with six birdies on Tuesday alone, evenly splitting them in her first two rounds. Her final round was a +10/82, a round that saw three more birdies, and she too birdied the 18th. 

Cale Albertina birdied twice in her final round, including the 18th. Her best round would be a +8/80 in the second round. 

Reagan Potts was competing as an individual, with her best golf coming by way of duplicate +18/90's in the first and second round. 16 of her 54 holes ended in par or better.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats will take nearly three weeks off from competition before venturing north to Allendale, Michigan to play in the 18th Annual Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite, hosted by Grand Valley State. Dates are Saturday-Monday, September 26th-28th and the tournament will take place at Meadows Golf Club. The Lakers finished 2nd in the UIndy Invite that the Bearcats just played in.
