KANSAS CITY, Mo. - McKendree University women's soccer (3-0-0) began its year with a 2-0-0 record before adding a third win to open the year on Tuesday, launching the squad into the NCAA Division National Rankings to No.22, as announced by United Soccer Coaches/Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches (IWSOC) on Tuesday afternoon. The Bearcats earned the ranking prior to their 1-0 shutout victory over Delta State on September 1, with a true road victory over Saginaw Valley State and a home-opening win over Union (Tenn.) on August 30. STRANGE'S 600th WIN
Strange, who is set to retire at the conclusion of the 2026 campaign, earned his 600th career win in the victory over Delta State as he entered the year at 597 victories. His squad began the home slate on August 30 with another home opener win, marking an unbeaten streak of home openers for more than 20 years.
