(LEBANON, Ill., October 19)- The No. 24 McKendree University men's soccer team had eight player's score goals in a 9-2 route of Williams Baptist College on Tuesday night at Leemon Field.
The Bearcats, 11-2-2 overall (4-0-1 American Midwest Conference), will host Missouri Valley College in a non-conference game on Wednesday, October 20th at 8 p.m., and will also celebrate senior night.
McKendree led 5-1 at the half and added four more goals in the second half, while giving up a goal on a penalty kick, to cruise to the 9-2 win. Freshman midfielder
R.B. Beekley (St. Peters, Mo., St. Charles West) scored the first two goals of his collegiate career on Tuesday and junior midfielder
Tom Ward (Frodhsam, England) had the game-winning goal and two assists in the win. Senior defender
Steve Axe (Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, Paul Dwyer Catholic) scored a penalty kick goal for the second consecutive game and freshman forward
Dan Bogard (Portsmouth, England, Porchester Community), freshman midfielder
Blessing Tupiri (Harare, Zimbabwe, Falcon College), junior midfielder

Joe Sagar (Oldham, England, Hulme) played all 90 minutes of the game in goal and had two saves to improve to 6-0-1 overall this season.
