(CHICAGO, Ill., Nov. 6)- The No. 25 McKendree women's basketball team fell to 0-3 overall this season after a 86-67 loss at No. 6 Saint Xavier University.

McKendree will travel to St. Charles, Mo., on Tuesday, November 9th to play Lindenwood University at 7 p.m.

The host Cougars took advantage of 38 turnovers by McKendree to earn their first win of the season. McKendree trailed 39-27 at the half and trailed by 18 in the second half, only to battle back and trail by six points with six minutes left to play. Saint Xavier proved to be too much down the stretch and dealt McKendree its third loss of the season.

Senior guard Katie Fullerton (Coulterville, Ill., Coulterville), sophomore forward Shelby Woelfel (Jerseyville, Ill., Jerseyville) and freshman guard Brittany Willis (St. Louis, Mo., Parkway South) all scored in double figures for the Bearcats. Fullerton led the team with 17 points, while Woelfel and Willis had 14 and 12 points, respectively.
