(Lebanon, Ill., Nov. 9) – The McKendree University women's wrestling team improved to 5-0 on the 2016 campaign as they defeated Missouri Valley College 41-9.

At 130 pounds, Megan Black (Batavia, Iowa/Eddyville-Balcksburg-Fremont) would put the match out of reach as she pinned Alicia Reyes 42 seconds into her match to increase the lead 19-8. The Vikings would only score one more point during the remainder of the dual.

At 143 pounds, Olivia Seppinni (Rocklin, Calif./Rocklin) would also make quick work of her opponent pinning Bethany Davis 37 seconds into her match. This would put the Bearcats up 28-9.

Alexia Ward (Portland, Ore./Westview), Alex Glaude, and Destane Garrick (Brooklyn, NY/Wingate Campus) would all grab four points for McKendree as they won their matches by tech falls.

The Bearcats are back in action on Friday, Nov. 11 as they head to the Bill Ferrell International Tournament in New York.
