(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 11) – The McKendree University men's D3 hockey team's scheduled games against Western Illinois University on Friday and Saturday have been cancelled.
 
McKendree is 3-1 overall on the season after splitting with Washington University – St. Louis. Senior forward Ethan Gremminger (O'Fallon, MO/Fort Zumwalt North) has led the Bearcats in scoring so far this season, one goal and eight assists for nine points in just four games. Just behind Gremminger are freshman forwards Adam Dempski (St. Charles, MO/Francis Howell North HS) and Derek Northrop (St. Louis, MO/De Smet Jesuit High School) with six points each. Junior goaltender Zach Allen has started three games for McKendree turning aside 77 of 85 shots on goal for a save percentage of 0.906 and a goals-against average of 2.40.
 
The Bearcats are back in action on October 20^th and 21^st against Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville at East Alton Ice Arena.
