(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 16) – The McKendree University men's D3 hockey team is set for two games against Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville this weekend. The Bearcats head to East Alton, Ill. for a 10:45 p.m. game on Friday, and an 8 p.m. game on Saturday at the East Alton Ice Arena.
 
The Bearcats are 3-1 on the season after splitting their last series against Washington University – St. Louis. Senior defenseman Ethan Gremminger (O'Fallon, MO/Fort Zumwalt North) leads McKendree in scoring through four games with nine points including one goal and eight assists. Behind Gremminger are freshman forwards Adam Dempski (St. Charles, MO/Francis Howell North HS) and Derek Northrop (St. Louis, MO/De Smet Jesuit High School) with six points each. Dempski has notched four goals and two assists on the season, while Northrop has netted three goals and added three assists.
 
In goal for McKendree has been junior goaltender Zach Allen and freshman goaltender Zach Stenger (Collinsville, IL/Collinsville HS). Allen has a record of 2-1 with a save percentage of 0.906. Stenger has a record of 1-0 with a save percentage of 0.833.
