(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 10) – The McKendree University men's D3 hockey team hits the road for a two game series against Aurora University on Friday and Saturday, with both games played at 9:45 p.m. at Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva, Ill.
 
The Bearcats are coming off two big wins over Bradley University, improving their record to 7-1 on the season. In the first rankings of the season, McKendree is ranked at No. 7 in the Pacific Region of American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) D3. The Bearcat's opponent, Aurora University, is ranked at No. 13 in ACHA D3.
 
Freshman forward Derek Northrop has led the Bearcats in scoring this season, notching 10 goals and adding eight assists for 18 points in eight games this season. Just behind Northrop is senior defenseman Ethan Gremminger with 17 points, scoring three goals and registering 14 assists. Senior goaltender Zach Allen has a record of 6-1 on the season, with a save percentage of 0.922 and a goals-against average of 1.91.
