(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 2) – The McKendree University men's D3 hockey team is gearing up for a two game home series against Bradley University at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex. The teams hit the ice at 10:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday night.
 
The Bearcats are 5-1 on the season after sweeping a series Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville in East Alton, Ill. Bradley is 4-6 overall this season, after splitting a series with Northern Illinois University.
 
Leading McKendree in scoring is freshman forward Derek Northrop with seven goals and six assists for 13 points. Senior defenseman Ethan Gremminger slots in right behind Northrop with 12 points, notching two goals and registering 10 assists. Junior goaltender Zach Allen has started in five contests this season, registering a save percentage of 0.915 and a goals-against average of 2.06.
