(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 4) – The McKendree University men's D3 hockey team swept Bradley University with Saturday night's 6-1 victory over the Braves.
 
The Bearcats improve to 7-1 overall on the season with the victory. McKendree received goals from six different goal scorers in the contest. The Bearcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period with goals from sophomore forward Trevor Rieck, freshman forward Adam Dempski, and freshman forward Derek Northrop. McKendree went on to score twice more in the second frame, as Bradley scored its only goal of the game in the period. Freshman forward Christian Blandina and senior forward Garrett Kellam lit the lamp for the Bearcats in the second period. Senior defenseman Ethan Gremminger capped off the scoring in the third period, with 3:11 remaining in the game. The third period came to a close with the Bearcats taking a 6-1 victory over the Braves.
 
Junior goaltender Zach Allen notched 21 saves on 22 shots in the game for a save percentage of 0.955. Kellam led the team in scoring in the contest with one goal and one assist for two points on the night.
 
The Bearcats are back on the ice on December 1^st and 2^nd at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.
