(KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 15) – The McKendree men's soccer has been ranked no. 22 in the most recent NCAA United Soccer Coaches Division II rankings, the league office announced earlier this week. This is the first time the men's soccer team has been officially ranked in the NCAA/United Soccer Coaches poll, after receiving votes during the 2018 season. The Bearcats are currently 8-1-2 overall and remain undefeated in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play with a 7-0-2 record.
"It's great to see the hard work our team has put in so far this season recognized at the national level," said head coach
Scott Gyllenborg on the national ranking. "Though we are excited, as a team we are focused on keeping this momentum going into next month as we aim to qualify for the GVLC postseason and beyond."
The men's soccer team will be back in action this Friday, October 18 as they play host to the Panthers of Drury University in another GLVC matchup.
