(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 17) – The McKendree University men's D2 hockey team continues its stretch of six straight home games with a two game series with Maryville University. Friday's game is slated for 7:30pm and Saturday is scheduled for 5:00pm.
 
The Bearcats come in at 2-2 overall and 2-2 in Mid-America Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) play. McKendree is coming off a split with the University of Illinois last weekend Oct. 11-12.
 
Junior Derek Northrop (St. Louis, MO/De Smet Jesuit High School) leads the offense with five goals, three assists, and eight points. Junior Christian Blandina (Glen Carbon, IL/Edwardsville High School) organizes the offense with a team-leading five assists. Following behind is junior Adam Dempski (St. Charles, MO/Francis Howell North HS) with two goals, four assists, and six points.
 
About Maryville
The Saints are 0-4 in their inaugural season. Maryville is led by Sasha Golovko with three goals, two assists, and five points. Ethan Chadwell leads the team in assists with three.
 
In goal, Hampus Blomdahl and Scout Stalcup are both 0-2 on the season. Blomdahl posts the better numbers of the two with a .929 save percentage and 3.84 goals against average.
