(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 14) – The McKendree University men's D2 hockey team is heading to Iowa for a two game series with the Hawkeyes on Nov. 15-16. Friday's puck drop is set for 7:00pm and Saturday is slated for 5:00pm.
The Bearcats come in at 4-5-1 overall and 2-5-1 in Mid-America Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) play.
Offensively, junior
Derek Northrop (St. Louis, MO/De Smet Jesuit High School), junior
Adam Dempski (St. Charles, MO/Francis Howell North HS), and freshman
Noah Scrum (Maryville, IL/Collinsville High School) pace the Bearcats. Northrop leads with eight goals and 14 points. Dempski follows with a leading seven assists, and Scrum posts five goals and five assists for 10 points.
In net, freshman
Mason Young (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville High School) has a 2-3 record, 2.56 goals against average, and .934 save percentage.
