(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 14) – The McKendree University men's D2 hockey team is heading to Iowa for a two game series with the Hawkeyes on Nov. 15-16. Friday's puck drop is set for 7:00pm and Saturday is slated for 5:00pm.
The Bearcats come in at 4-5-1 overall and 2-5-1 in Mid-America Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) play.
Offensively, junior
Derek Northrop (St. Louis, MO/De Smet Jesuit High School), junior
Adam Dempski (St. Charles, MO/Francis Howell North HS), and freshman
Noah Scrum (Maryville, IL/Collinsville High School) pace the Bearcats. Northrop leads with eight goals and 14 points. Dempski follows with a leading seven assists, and Scrum posts five goals and five assists for 10 points.
In net, freshman
Mason Young (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville High School) has a 2-3 record, 2.56 goals against average, and .934 save percentage.

The Hawkeyes currently have a 10-0-1 record and 6-0 mark in MACHA play. Iowa is led by Jacob Carlson with 10 goals, six assists, and 16 points. Zachary Lupori, Jake Vennetti, and Ryan Carlson each total five goals, six assists, and 11 points.
