(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 15)—
The McKendree University men's basketball team will play host to East Central University in a non-conference game Saturday afternoon inside the Harry M. Statham Sports Center. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m.

Saturday's game will mark the third in a season-opening six-game home stand for McKendree, which is 1-1 on the year. The Bearcats split a pair of games last weekend in the GLVC/GLIAC Challenge in Lebanon. McKendree was edged late by Michigan Tech last Saturday before the Bearcats bounced back with an impressive 69-46 win over Northern Michigan University to close the weekend.

Sophomore forward Aleksa Popovic (Belgrade, Serbia/BC Partizan Belgrade) turned in a steady performance last weekend, scoring 15 points in both contests for the Bearcats. Popovic was 12-of-17 from the field, including a 3-of-4 effort from three-point range. Junior guard Oliver Stephen (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) also averaged 15 PPG in the two contests for McKendree. Senior guard Logan Kohrmann (Bartelso, IL/Breese Central) was the other Bearcat to average in double figures, netting 14.5 PPG while connecting on 66.7 percent of his attempts from the floor.

Freshman guard Bryson Bultman (Nashville, IL/Nashville), who registered eight points per game last weekend, paced the Bearcats with seven rebounds and three assists per outing. Popovic, Stephen and freshman forward Jakobie Robinson (Indianapolis, IN/Warren Central) (pictured) were close behind with five rebounds per game.

Following Saturday's meeting with East Central, McKendree will continue its home stand with non-conference games on Tuesday against Westminster College (Mo.) and next Saturday versus Principia College.
