(MARSHALL, MO – Nov. 17) – The McKendree University women's wrestling ended their double meet weekend at one of the largest collegiate women's wrestling events in the country, the Missouri Valley Open. The Bearcats placed first out of 34 teams, had 13 wrestlers place in the top-8 of their weight classes, and two first-place finishes by
Felicity Taylor (Spillville, IA/South Winneshiek High School) and
Emma Bruntil ().
The Bearcats led with 25 technical falls, had 14 pins, 39 falls, and scored the most total match points with 612. As a team, the Bearcats went 88-35 (0.7154 winning percentage) and finished with a score of 194.0.
