(MARSHALL, MO – Nov. 17) – The McKendree University women's wrestling ended their double meet weekend at one of the largest collegiate women's wrestling events in the country, the Missouri Valley Open. The Bearcats placed first out of 34 teams, had 13 wrestlers place in the top-8 of their weight classes, and two first-place finishes by Felicity Taylor (Spillville, IA/South Winneshiek High School) and Emma Bruntil ().

The Bearcats led with 25 technical falls, had 14 pins, 39 falls, and scored the most total match points with 612. As a team, the Bearcats went 88-35 (0.7154 winning percentage) and finished with a score of 194.0.

101-lb:
Pauline Granados (Rialto, CA/Wilmer Amino Carter High School) was defeated in a 3-1 decision by Jaclyn McNicholas of King University in the 3^rd-place match. Granados placed fourth and scored 19.5 team points.

Valerie Carreon () was defeated in a 6-0 decision be teammate Jolie Lucas (North Pole, AK/Ben Eielson Jr./Sr. High School) in the Cons. Round 4 match. Carreon scored 5.5 team points.

Jolie Lucas (North Pole, AK/Ben Eielson Jr./Sr. High School) won by technical fall (TF 14-3) over Alaura Couch of Grand View University in the 7^th-place match. Lucas placed seventh and scored 11.0 team points.

109-lb:
Carly Valleroy (St. Louis, MO/Mehlville High School) won by technical fall (TF 10-0) over Jessica Dehart of Eastern Oregon University in the 3^rd-place match. Valleroy placed third and scored 19.0 team points.

Natalie Reyna (Hesperia, CA/Whittier High School) was defeated in a technical fall (TF 10-0) by Kateri Rowell of Eastern Oregon (unattached) in the 7^th-place match. Reyna placed eighth and scored 14.0 team points.

116-lb:
Felicity Taylor (Spillville, IA/South Winneshiek High School) won by technical fall (TF 10-0) over Peyton Prussin of Life University in the 1^st-place match. Taylor placed first and scored 29.0 team points.

Katherine Sumner (Port Byron, NY/Dana L. West) was defeated in a 7-0 decision to Carolina Johnson of Southern Oregon University in the Cons. Round 6 match. Sumner scored 6.5 team points.

Theresa Rankin (Grass Lake, MI/Grass Lake High School) won a 5-4 decision over Sugey Ceja of Tiffin University in the 5^th-place match. Rankin placed fifth and scored 17.0 team points.

Alexia Ward (Portland, OR/Westview High School) won a 3-2 decision over Vayle Baker of Augsburg University in the 3^rd-place match. Ward placed third and scored 16.0 team points.

Sydnee Kimber (Sitka, AK/Mt Edgecombe High School) was defeated in a 9-6 decision to Paige Baynes of WBU (unattached) in the 1^st-place match. Kimber placed second and scored 23.5 team points.
