(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 21) – The McKendree University men's D2 hockey team is back on the road for its second series with Maryville University. The Bearcats previously swept the Saints back on Oct. 18-19. The final series will take place on Jan. 17-18 with Maryville serving as the host.
The Bearcats sit at 4-7-1 overall and 2-7-1 in Mid-America Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) play and look to snap a six game losing streak.
The offensive leaders for McKendree are juniors
Derek Northrop (St. Louis, MO/De Smet Jesuit High School),
Adam Dempski (St. Charles, MO/Francis Howell North HS),
Christian Blandina (Glen Carbon, IL/Edwardsville High School), and freshman
Noah Scrum (Maryville, IL/Collinsville High School). Northrop leads the team with eight goals, seven assists, and 15 points. Dempski follows closely behind with six goals, team-high eight assists, and 14 points. Blandina and Scrum are each tied with 11 points.

Mason Young (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville High School) leads with a 2-4 record, 3.61 goals against average, and .923 save percentage. Freshman
Adam Siek (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada/St. Mary's Catholic Secondary School) has a 1-3 record, 4.25 goals against average, and .899 save percentage.

The Saints sport a 2-5-1 overall record on the season. Leading the offense for Maryville is Matthew Simoncelli and Trevor Henson. Simoncelli and Henson each have seven points while Simoncelli has five goals, two assists and Henson has three goals, four assist.
