(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 7) – The McKendree University women's volleyball team will close out its regular season home schedule with a match against Maryville University on Friday at 7 p.m. and then a match against Missouri S&T on Saturday, which will feature senior day celebrations prior to the start of the match at 3 p.m.
The Bearcats are 11-14 overall on the season an 4-7 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). McKendree is coming off a 3-0 loss to nationally ranked Lewis University and are looking to close out its 2019 home slate with two victories.
Offensive leaders for the Bearcats are junior outside hitter
Elle Russell (Festus, MO/St. Pius X), senior outside hitter
Kelly Voss (St. Rose, IL/Mater Dei), and sophomore middle blocker
Hope Gramly (Prosper, TX/Prosper). Russell leads the pack with 268 kills, Voss follows with 191 total kills, and Gramly is next with 181. Junior setter
Gracie Marr (Castle Rock, CO/Castle View) has set up McKendree's offense 803 times this season.
Defensive leader for the Bearcats are Voss, senior libero
Alissa Zeitelhack (Overland Park, KS/Blue Valley West), and Marr. Voss currently leads the defense with 243 digs on the season, Zeitelhack is next with 206, and Marr is close behind with 190 total digs. At the net for McKendree's defense is senior middle blocker
Megan Marks (Colgate, WI/Germantown) who has tallied 11 solo blocks on the season and 73 block assists for 84 total blocks.
The Bearcats will close out their regular season play with a match at Truman State on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. and a match at Quincy the next day at 3 p.m.
