(O'FALLON, Ill., Nov. 9) – The McKendree University men's D2 hockey closed out a two game series with Bradley University on Saturday night. The Bearcats fell to the Braves by the score 5-2.
The Bearcats fall to 4-5-1 overall and 2-5-1 in Mid-America Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) play.
The visiting Braves opened the game with three unanswered goals early in the first period. Junior
Garrett Poole (Columbia, IL/Columbia High School) answered back with two consecutive goals. Poole was assisted by junior
Adam Dempski (St. Charles, MO/Francis Howell North HS) on his first goal and freshman
Noah Scrum (Maryville, IL/Collinsville High School), Dempski on his second goal. After the first period, Bradley held a 3-2 lead.
McKendree was unable to find the back of the net for the rest of the game, ultimately falling 5-2 to Bradley.

Mason Young (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville High School) made 27/32 saves in the loss.
The Bearcats will be back on the ice next weekend, Nov. 15-16 when they visit the University of Iowa.
