(NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Dec. 7) – The McKendree University women's wrestling team ended their weekend with a first-place finish at the North Central Invitational Saturday morning. Collectively the Bearcats scored 105.5 points that placed first out of 17 teams.

The Bearcats had five first-place finishes by Pauline Granados (Rialto, CA/Wilmer Amino Carter High School), Theresa Rankin (Grass Lake, MI/Grass Lake High School), Alara Boyd (Muncie, IN/Yorktown High School), Andrea Sennett (Wheeling, IL/Wheeling High Shcool) and Sydnee Kimber (Sitka, AK/Mt Edgecombe High School).

Below are the individual results:

101-lb bracket
Pauline Granados (Rialto, CA/Wilmer Amino Carter High School) placed first in a 6-0 decision over Iesha Washington of Emmanuel College in the 1^st place match.

Jolie Lucas (North Pole, AK/Ben Eielson Jr./Sr. High School) placed third in a DFF over teammate Valerie Carreon () in the 3^rd place match.

Valerie Carreon () placed fourth after a DFF by teammate Lucas in the 3^rd place match.

109-lb bracket
Carly Valleroy (St. Louis, MO/Mehlville High School) placed fourth in a 10-4 decision to Aliyah Rollins of Missouri Baptist University in the 3^rd place match.

Natalie Reyna (Hesperia, CA/Whittier High School) placed fifth in a fall at 1:02 over Clare Garcia of Emmanuel College in the 5^th place match.

116-lb bracket
Theresa Rankin (Grass Lake, MI/Grass Lake High School) placed first in a fall at 0:48 over Angelique Terrones-Cruz of Lindenwood University in the 1^st place match.

130-lb bracket
Payton Stroud (South Prairie, WA/White River High School) placed fifth in a 7-1 decision over Niya Gains of Emmanuel College in the 5^th place match.

Shaina Murray (Watchung, NJ/Wyoming Seminary Prep) placed eighth in fall at 1:22 to Niya Gains of Emmanuel College in the Consolation Semifinals match.

136-lb bracket
Salome Walker (Mishawaka, IN/Mishawaka High School) competed unattached and placed second in a 10-8 decision to Zoe Nowicki of Adrian College in the 1^st place match.

143-lb bracket
Alara Boyd (Muncie, IN/Yorktown High School) placed first in a fall at 3:00 over Megan Vondrasek of Adrian College in the 1^st place match.

Shannon Henry (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis High School) placed third a 6-4 decision over Samantha Bush of MacMurray College in the 3^rd place match.

155-lb bracket
Grace Kristoff (Belleville, IL/Althoff Catholic High School) was defeated in a technical fall (TF 12-1) by Jacqueline Parks of University of Jamestown in the Consolation Semifinals match.

McKenzie Cook (Homer, AK/Homer High School) competed unattached was defeated by fall at 1:54 to Ophelia Lara of Emmanuel College in the Consolation Semifinal match.

170-lb bracket
Andrea Sennett (Wheeling, IL/Wheeling High Shcool) placed first by injury over Yelena Makoyed of North Central College in the 1^st place match.

Olivia Toth (Nashua, NH/Nashua South) competed unattached and placed sixth in a 3-0 decision over Alyssa Schrull of University of Jamestown in the 5^th place match.

191-lb bracket
Sydnee Kimber (Sitka, AK/Mt Edgecombe High School) placed first in a 7-7- decision over Agatha Andrews of University of Jamestown in the 1^st place match.

The 2019 Senior Nationals and Trials Qualifier is up next on the Bearcats' schedule. They will be at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Tex., for the three-day competition Dec. 20 – 22.
