2019-20 NTCA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM AWARD RECIPIENTS
(LEBANON, Ill., July 16)—The McKendree University women's bowling program has earned both team and individual academic accolades from the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) for 2019-20.
First, the Bearcats were one of 57 squads to receive the NTCA All-Academic Team Award. To be eligible for this honor, NCAA bowling programs must have a cumulative 3.2 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale for the academic year. All McKendree team members combined to post a 3.546 GPA for 2019-20.
Additionally, a total of 11 McKendree bowling student-athletes received the NTCA All-Academic Award for the previous academic year. Qualifiers for this honor must have carried a 3.4 GPA on the 4.0 scale to be recognized. In all, there were 380 bowlers from 69 institutions who received NTCA All-Academic laurels for the 2019-20 academic year.
With its 11 honorees, McKendree had the third-highest total of individual awardees of any institution. The Bearcats trailed only the University of Central Missouri (13) and Sacred Heart University (12).

The McKendree women's bowling team closed out its shortened 2019-20 season with an overall match record of 93-18. The Bearcats won three tournaments during the course of the year: the Columbia 300 Saints Invitational hosted by Maryville University, the Prairie View A&M Invitational and Vanderbilt University's Columbia 300 Music City Classic. McKendree also finished first in the final NTCA All-Division and Division II/III ratings for 2019-20.
