(LEBANON, Ill. – Jan. 30) – The McKendree University men's basketball team announced the cancelation of their game against William Jewell College. 

McKendree University and William Jewell College have come together in this decision. Out of an abundance of caution, this afternoon's game will not be played, due to a student exhibiting possible symptoms of COVID-19. McKendree University, William Jewell College, and the GLVC are committed to the health and safety of both school's student-athletes. This decision, while difficult , was in the best interest of all who are involved.

Following the protocols established by the NCAA and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), the men's basketball game scheduled for Saturday Jan. 20 at 3:00 PM against William Jewell College, has been canceled.

Every attempt will be made to reschedule the affected conference games between William Jewell and McKendree University.
