The McKendree University baseball team improved its record to 7-4 following todays win over Southwest Baptist by a final score of 7-5.

McKendree struck first, putting two runs on the board in the third inning behind RBIs from junior
Corey Price (Bethalto, IL/Civic Memorial) and junior
Joseph Costanzo (Kansas City, MO/Rockhurst). The Bearcats would add two more runs in the fifth inning off another pair of RBIs from Price and Costanzo.
SBU would close the gap to one run in the sixth inning following a three-run home run. McKendree would match SBU with their own three run homer in same inning from Senior
Ryan Hutchinson (Sorento, IL/Greenville).
Graduate Student
Jared Timmerman (New Baden, IL/Wesclin) took the mound for McKendree and earned his second win after six innings of work and striking out three.
