The McKendree University baseball team fell to 11-13 after dropping both games of Sundays double header against the University of Southern Indiana.
Game one ended with a final score of 10-4 and game two ended with a final score of 11-5.

Game one began with the Screaming Eagles jumping out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning while starter
Brenden Boles failed to record an out before being taken out of the game.
McKendree would get on the board in the second inning when
Austin Francis brought
Joseph Copeland home off a sacrifice fly to left field.
McKendree would add two more runs in the third when both
Bryce Emery and
Corey Price crossed home plate following wild pitches by USI to cut the lead to 6-3.
The seventh inning would open with USI expanding their lead to 10-3. The Bearcats would come up short after putting up one run in the seventh.

McKendree got out to a 3-1 lead in the third inning following a sacrifice fly from Emery, and RBIs from
Joseph Copeland and
Joseph Costanzo.
USI would cut it to a one run lead in the fourth inning but Price would score on a wild pitch in the fifth and Emery would drive another run in the sixth to put the Bearcats up 5-2.
The Bearcats would yield a two-run home run in the seventh and a three-run bomb in the eighth, both to USI's Ethan Hunter which put the Screaming Eagles up 7-5. In the ninth they would add four more insurance runs.
Logan Boente started on the bump for the Bearcats and struck out six Screaming Eagles in six innings of work while taking a no decision.
