The McKendree University women's track & field team opened the season at the Bearcat Classic on Friday in Lebanon, Ill.
This was the Bearcats only home meet of the season.
Results
Zachary Llewellyn placed first in the shot put at 54 feet 1 ¼ inches. The mark is good for second in the Great Lakes Valley Conference to start the season.
Preston Holt placed first in the 110 meter-hurdles at 14.80 seconds.
Jaimie Omalla placed second in the 400 meter-dash at 48.24 seconds.
Domen Sadic placed second in the pole vault at 14 feet 9 inches.
Llewellyn placed second in the discus at 125 feet 8 inches.
Trevor White placed second in the 1500-meter run at 4:14.
Michael Adderley placed second in the long jump at 23 feet 1 ¾ inches.
Dontea Jones placed third in the triple jump at 43 feet 6 ½ inches.
Johnnie Caswell placed third in the 100 meter-dash at 10.97 seconds.
Eugene Omalla placed third in the 200 meter-dash at 22.35 seconds.
Llewellyn placed fourth in the hammer throw at 144 feet 2 inches.

"It was a good day today. It was great to open the outdoor season competition at home. It was good to put the skills that we practice every day at competition level, the intensity and effort from every athlete was at the highest levels," head coach Agne Eggert said.
