After Rockhurst got off to a 1-0 lead, Sidney Larson tied the game off a throwing error while stealing third base.

Rockhurst would clinch the game with a home run in the fifth inning.

Ellie Quaethem started on the mound for the Bearcats. She pitched in six innings, gave up two earned runs off four hits and struck out four batters. Her record falls to 6-4 on the season.

The Bearcats would get the game started in the second inning with a run scored when
Shelby Summer scored second base, leading to
Sidney Larsen stealing home.

Miranda Gajewski hit an RBI single scoring Bailey Meritt.Â

The game would go into extra innings where
Jenny Homann and
Abby Behlmann each drove in a run to secure a 4-2 win for the Bearcats in the ninth inning.

Gajewski started on the mound for the Bearcats. She pitched in all nine innings, gave up two earned runs off four hits and struck out 11 batters. Her record improves to 8-2.

After today's doubleheaders, the Bearcats are now 15-7.
