Eugene Omalla broke school records as the McKendree University men's track & field team placed sixth overall at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship meet.

Omalla's school record came in the 400-meter dash at 47.26 seconds. He currently sits 10
th in the nation and could qualify for the NCAA Championship meet in Allendale, Mich. On May 27-29.

Holt's school record came in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.55 seconds.Â

Eugene Omalla's school record setting time in the 400-meter dash was good for second place. His twin brother Jaimie placed fifth at 48.68.

Zachary Llewellyn placed second in the shot put at 54-feet 8-inches.
Â
Holt placed second in the 110-meter hurdles at 14.38 and third in the 400-meter hurdles with his school record setting time.

Michael Adderley placed second in the long jump at 23-feet 4-inches (-0.7 wind). Adderley also placed sixth in the javelin at 159-feet 5 ½ inches and sixth in the triple jump at 47-feet 1-inch.

McKendree's 4 by 100-meter team placed third at 42.12 seconds.Â
