LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University men's soccer (5-3-4, 3-2-3 GLVC) will play host for its next three games with two Great Lakes Valley Conference games this weekend against Missouri S&T and Drury. The Bearcats enter the weekend after splitting its previous weekend with a win at SBU while they dropped the contest at Rockhurst. McKendree sits in place for a GLVC tournament berth, ranking seventh in the conference with four games remaining and looks to gain ground in the standings.
THIS SEASON
The Bearcats have gone back and forth throughout the season, especially in GLVC-play, going 1-1-2 over the last two weekends. McKendree has held off many opponents with stifling defensive pressure, allowing less than one goal per game. McKendree has fired 14 scores on the year while also out-earning opponents in corner kicks. The Bearcats have been led offensively by freshman forward
Stephan Stuebbe and sophomore midfielder
Philipp Schmidt. Stuebbe owns six goals for 12 points while Schmidt has dished-off six assists on the year. Stuebbe is one of seven scorers for McKendree this fall with freshmen
Gabe Hallsten and
Dayton Strattman also recording multiple goals each this year.
The Bearcats have had split-time with goalkeepers this fall with both sophomore
Anthony Swenson and freshman
Matt King performing well and combining for a goals allowed average of 0.92 with 45 saves and a 0.750 save percentage.

Missouri S&T comes to Lebanon with an in-league unbeaten streak of four games, most recently beating UMSL. Jason Jorgensen leads the Miners with 14 points behind five goals and four assists. Jimmy Sanchez holds a big role with the the Miners' offense as well with two scores and four dish-outs. Davis Joseph holds the primary net position for S&T with 12 starts, 43 saves, and a goals allowed average of 2.02.

The Panthers went 2-0 in their latest weekend of league play, beating UMSL and then-No.19 Maryville. Drury remains undefeated in conference play and sit as the number two team in the league. The Panthers hold opponents to one goal per game while firing just under two per outing. Kaelen Debbage leads the Panthers with 19 points behind eight goals and three dish-outs on the season. The net has been held by Tyler Frolik with a goals allowed average of 0.86 behind 41 saves and a save percentage of 0.820.
