LEBANON, Ill. - 12th-ranked McKendree University women's soccer (9-0-2, 5-0-1 GLVC) is on the road to start the latter half of its Great Lakes Valley Conference season, playing in Bolivar and Kansas City. McKendre brings an 11-game unbeaten streak and four-game win streak with them to the west half of Missouri. The Bearcats will take on SBU on Friday, October 7, at 4 PM and then head to Rockhurst for a 12 PM kickoff on Sunday, October 9.
THIS SEASON
The Bearcats remain unbeaten through 11 games this fall, beating Truman State and William Jewell the past weekend. McKendree began the year unranked but entered the national poll in the first week of September after opening the year 3-0-0 in non-conference play. Junior forward
Anna Stiffler leads the Bearcats and the league in goals and points with eight goals and 16 points through 11 games this season. She has contributed heavily to the out-scoring of opponents by McKendree, which sits at 22 to five this year. Senior midfielders
Elizabeth Goldstein and
Allison Frederking follow Stiffler with three goals each. Nine Bearcats have fired a goal this fall while 16 have recorded at least one point on the year.
The net has been held in near full-time by senior
Abby Tucker, who owns a goals allowed average of just 0.47 with 23 saves and six shutouts. Tucker has a save percentage of 0.821 on the 2022 season.
McKendree
remained 12th in the national poll but moved up in the United Soccer Coaches national poll each week since entering the ranks prior, moving to No.12 in the September 27 poll (
Poll). The Bearcats entered the ranks on September 3 at 16th nationally before moving up to 15th, 14th, and now 12th. In the Midwest Region, McKendree sits second behind reigning National Champion, Grand Valley State.

The Bearcats of SBU won their lone game this season in non-conference play, beating Northern State, 1-0. SBU drew and dropped a game this past weekend with a 1-1 result at Missouri S&T and a 2-1 loss against UMSL. The attack has been led by Abby Harrison for SBU, as she has four goals, one assist and nine points. Six SBU Bearcats have recorded a goal on the season. The SBU net has been primarily guarded by Ashlynn Edison, who owns a 1.59 goals allowed average with 57 saves and a save percentage of 0.792.

The Hawks of Rokchurst sit as the number two team in the GLVC behind the Bearcats of McKendree. The Hawks won their first five GLVC contests prior to dropping the game at Maryville on October 2. The Hawks have been led by a flurry of scorers, including Anna Lantz and Lizzo Rosenthal, who each own four goals on the year. Lantz leads Rockhurst in points with 10 total. Two Hawks have held goal this fall with Alyssa Kerperien and Taylor James splitting time. Kerperien has been the primary keeper with 23 saves in seven starts and a goals allowed average of 0.62 and a save percentage of 0.852.
