KANSAS CITY, Mo. - McKendree University women's soccer (9-0-2, 5-0-1) remained unbeaten with another six-point weekend and also remained ranked 12th in the United Soccer Coaches Division II National Poll. The Bearcats collected wins over Truman State, 1-0, and William Jewell, 4-0, on Friday (9/30) and Sunday (10/2) to extended its unbeaten streak to 11 games over the 2022 campaign. No.12 McKendree (9-0-2) also is the sole overall unbeaten team left in the Midwest Region and one of two unbeaten teams in Great Lakes Valley Conference-play at 5-0-1 while Maryville (6-2-3) sits at 4-0-3 in league play. 

In the GLVC, multiple players rank amongst the statistical leaders with junior forward Anna Stiffler leading in points (16), points per game (1.45), goals (8), goals per game (0.73), and game-winners (4). Freshman Rosa Caird sits atop the league in assists per game (0.38) while tying for first in total assists (3). Two teammates, junior forward Destiny Johnson and senior defender Morgan Bova, also have recorded three assists this fall to tie for first in the GLVC. Johnson and Bova rank tied-for-fifth in assists per game (0.27). Senior midfielder Allison Frederking, who scored the game-winner against Jewell, is tied for third in total game-winners with two, along with sophomore forward Lena Higgins. Senior keeper Abby Tucker sits fourth in the GLVC in goals against average (0.47) and seventh in save percentage (0.821). 

Nationally, Stiffler ranks tied-for-fourth in game winners, tied-for-eighth in total goals, tied-for-34th in goals per game, and tied-for-42nd in total points. Tucker ranks 17th in the nation in goals allowed average and tied-for-15th in shutouts as well.

McKendree was previously ranked 14th (9/20/2022), 15th (9/13/2022), and came into the national poll at 16th on September 6 after opening the season 3-0-0. McKendree continued its unbeaten streak through the season thus far, defeating Kentucky Wesleyan, Lewis, Quincy, and UIS, while drawing with Missouri S&T in a non-conference matchup and UIndy. The now-No.12 Bearcats host Truman State on September 30 and William Jewell on October 2.
