LOUISVILLE, Ky. - No.12 McKendree University men's wrestling finished the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals tournament on Saturday, going 3-2 overall in the two-day outing. McKendree took wins over No.18 Mercyhurst, No.14 Gannon, and Newberry, taking ninth in the NCAA Division II bracket on the weekend. The Bearcats avenged their opening round loss at the 2022 tournament with the win over Newberry. Additionally, men's wrestling head coach
James Kisgen gained his 200th career dual victory with the 21-12 win over Gannon on January 7. Kisgen began the wrestling program in 2003-04 and now owns 201 wins, which ranks among active wrestling coaches across NCAA DI/DII/DIII, NJCAA, NAIA, and NCWA. McKendree will be back on the mat with its first Great Lakes Valley Conference dual at Quincy on Wednesday, January 11 in Quincy, Illinois.Â
