INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced their weekly golfer of the week awards on Thursday, October 19th. Graduate student Rasmus Nilsson was awarded GLVC Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance in the Bearcat Dual Gender Tournament.
The Stockholm, Sweden native shot posted three rounds in the 60s to shoot 10-under (69-68-69) for the tournament. He won the event by eight strokes over a Rockhurst University golfer. Nilsson led the field in par 4 scoring with an average of 3.79 (five under) and pars made with 37.
This is the third time Nilsson has been awarded GLVC Golfer of the Week. The last Bearcat to win it was Phasin Vichitcharoenpaisarn.
