INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The GLVC unveiled their 2023 volleyball preseason poll on Tuesday, August 22nd afternoon. The preseason poll is selected by the league's head coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.
The Missouri – St. Louis Tritons were selected to win the 2023 title receiving 164 total points with 10 first-place votes.
The Bearcats were picked to finish 11th after finishing in a four-way tie for 8th in the 2022 season with an overall record of 9-16 (4-8 GLVC). Head coach Nickie Sanlin, who is entering her 11th season with the Bearcats returns the top four hitters, who all eclipsed 100 kills last season. Two of those hitters, Brianna Binder and Colleen Preusser both notched over 225 kills.
McKendree opens up the 2023 campaign at the University of Illinois – Springfield invitational on September 1st.
