O'FALLON, Ill. - McKendree University women's swim battled against the University of Indianapolis greyhounds. 

Junior Joceyln Zgola placed first in the 200-yard freestyle, and 500-yard freestyle with times of 1:55.22 and 5:10.63 respectively.  

The 200-yard butterfly saw a pair of Bearcats place first and second as graduate student Sophia Burwitz and freshman Bianka Bukovics finished with times of 2:08.05 and 2:08.83 respectively.  Senior Karley Sonnenberg and freshman Tumi Macdonell placed second and third in the 50-freestyle with times of 24.37 and 24.42.  

Macdonell also placed second in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 52.53. Fifth year senior Alexis Kachkin placed third and senior Aurora Abbruscato placed fourth with finished of 53.14 and 55.15 respectively. 

The Bearcats ultimately fell 185-97 and will be back in the pool on Sat. Oct, 26 in at the University of Evansville.
