INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. | Great Lakes Valley Conference - McKendree University women's soccer tallied yet another impressive regular season and now prep for the GLVC Semifinal battle with All-GLVC and postseason honors being awarded to six Bearcats with freshman forward Maddie Mauch earning Freshman of the Year and senior forward Anna Stiffler collecting a fourth-straight First Team nod, as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning. Four more Bearcats added All-League laurels with senior forward Lena Higgins and senior midfielder Katie Spotanski were named Second Team while sophomore midfielder Maggie Gleckler and senior defender Maria Voss each added Third Team selections. McKendree collected its second-consecutive and third overall Freshman of the Year honor and eighth major award with Mauch's nod. The Bearcats continue their postseason stretch in the GLVC Championship Semifinal on Thursday, November 14 at 4:00PM against second-seeded Drury at Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex as they look to defend their crown and secure their NCAA Tournament bid.

FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR
#15 Maddie Mauch | Forward | Columbia, Illinois
Mauch made her presence known in the league, not only as she shares a last name with her sister and McKendree standout Reagan Mauch, but behind seven goals and 14 points on her freshman season with a game-winner at William Jewell. Overall on the year, Mauch fired scores in six games with six of her seven goals coming in conference play. Her first collegiate score was fired at Kentucky Wesleyan on September 9 in Owensboro, which turned into a 6-0 victory for the Bearcats. The freshman forward then turned around and put up three goals in her first two conference bouts, during wins at Rockhurst and William Jewell. She becomes the second consecutive and third overall Freshman of the Year for McKendree as Gleckler earned the honor in 2023 and Stiffler was the Bearcats' first in the spring 2021 campaign. 

FIRST TEAM
#21 Anna Stiffler | Forward | Fifth Year Senior | O'Fallon, Missouri
Stiffler, a dominant force in the league for the last five seasons, added her fourth-straight First Team nod and fifth overall this fall after leading the league in points, goals, assists, and game-winning goals while also shattering McKendree's all-time career records for goals and points. The forward surpassed her single-season mark for points and assists already while pushing to set her season high for goals next. Stiffler fired goals in 10 games while tallying an assist or goal in 15 of 19 games so far. The senior fired goals in the four of the final five regular season contests, all of which were game-winners, while grabbing a point in the last six games going into the semifinal. She also leads all of NCAA Division II in game-winners with eight so far on the campaign.
