INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - McKendree University men's swimming and diving senior Jackson Lustig was named this week's Great Lakes Valley Conference Swim Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Purdue Invite. This is Lustig's sixth time winning the award (11/26/24, 11/21/23, 1/18/23, 11/22/22, 11/8/22, 10/11/22).

Lustig placed first in the 200-yard Butterfly with a time of 1:41.54, qualifying him for the NCAA DII National Championship A cut. Lustig is the DII record holder in this event with 1:40.75.

In the 200 IM Lustig swam a 1:47.93 placing ninth, 46.60 in the 100-fly placing second, and split a 45.88 in the 100 yard fly in the 400-yard medley relay. 

Up next, McKendree will compete in the US Open on Dec. 5-7th in Greensboro, N.C.
