HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The women's golf team teed off on the spring portion of their schedule on Monday, February 19^th and Tuesday, February 20^th on Hilton Head Island. The 36 hole event was contested on the Robert Trent Jones Course at Palmetto Dunes hosted by Lincoln Memorial University.

The Bearcats placed in 13^th out of 18 teams by shooting a 647 (324-323). Oklahoma Christian University from the Lone Star Conference won the event with a 604 (311-293).

Martina Hicks led the Bearcat contingent with a 154 (76-78) which tied her for 14^th. Waritsara Rungrojanaluk tied for 51^st with a 164 (81-83). Three shots behind her was Chiara Bortolotti with a 167 (85-82) to tie her for 59^th. Sarah Capel improved by eight strokes from the first to second rounds and ended the event with a 168 (88-80). Playing in her first event of the season, Dylan Kirchoff posted a 177 (82-95) to tie for 84^th.

Audrey Cain competed as an individual and tied for 84^th with a 177 (88-89).

McKendree will have a month off before returning to play in the Saginaw Valley State University Spring Invitational in Georgetown, Kentucky on March 16^th and 17^th.
