Viktorya Torres moving down and dominating the 136. McKendree finished in second by just 27.0 points while outpacing all teams placing below by a margin of over 80 points in the one-day tournament. McKendree will now prepare to traverse the NCWWC championship tournament on March 8-9 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse, seeking a fourth national title.

Shelby Moore | Buckley, Washington
Moore earned her first national championship qualification in hard-fought fashion but shined with the 123lb regional title in Indianola. The freshman entered the weekend as the top-ranked wrestler in her weight class, improving to 21-3 on the season with her performance at the regional championship. Moore seeks her first All-American finish while battling the top collegiate wrestlers in the national championship tournament.

Guerin, no stranger to the collegiate wrestling world, worked through her weight class via three extra point wins while holding the top seed. Guerin owns the last three NCWWC 130lb title belts and seeks her fourth-straight this spring, owning a 13-1 record on the year with nine falls and three techs thus far.

Torres, wrestling at 143 for the majority of the season and sitting as #6 in the weight class, moved down to 136 for the regional championship and the national tournament, laying claim the the Region V belt at 136. The graduate student already has posted two top tournament finishes at 143 on the campaign, winning Ken Kraft Midlands and the MoBap Open. Torres will look to add onto her career resume as she made All-American status in 2023.
